Born in Williamstown, MA, CONOR BRODERICK is a self-taught painter who works in watercolor, charcoal, and mixed media, and is currently living outside of Bordentown, NJ. Conor spent his earliest years in Saudi Arabia where his father worked as a U.S. government architect. The family later moved to the West Coast, where Conor grew up. The Cascade Mountains of Washington became one of his touchstones. Conor’s keen interest and inventive curiosity about how things work led him into explorations in auto and marine mechanics, and always, art. This has inspired the “invented paints” and creating color out of surprising products, as well as creating painting tools including rapidographs and brushes, as his quest deepened to learn more about watercolor paint and its many properties.
